'Worm Story' by Morris Gleitzman

Worm story written by Morris Gleitzman is based around ‘Wilton the Worm’ who is an intestinal parasite discovering the insides of Janet, a rather overweight women. Wilton in conjunction with another parasite in ‘Algy’, form a friendship after several disagreements, which allows them to discover other parts of Janet’s body. Although the parasites are rather inferior and aren’t accepted in Janet’s intestinal society, they set off on a journey through Janet’s body to discover if they fit in with other parasites and funguses. Wilton and Algy’s journey ends up assisting Janet in becoming a healthier individual as they fight off infectious molecules which are making her unwell.
